Adele Wallace

Adele Wallace worked as an Adult Librarian for the Los Angeles Public Library until her retirement in 2015. During this time, she served for several years as the Chair of Political Action for the Librarians Guild. Prior to that, she was one of the co-founders of the Sisterhood Bookstore in Los Angeles. For 27 years, from 1972-1999, she was  co-owner/co-manager of this front line women’s bookstore.  At this time, she was active in the Second Wave of the Women’s Movement (which is now showing signs of a timely resurgence.)

Currently, the main focus of her activities (in addition to the Ash Grove Foundation).is on saving the U.S. and the world from the countless catastrophes which we now face.  No need to list these looming disasters- you know what they are.  So far, Adele’s efforts to stem the tide have met with only modest success….
